Within the amalgamation of concepts emerging in the real estate sector, the past few years have witnessed the emergence of various Living models. This term is associated with the use of living space as a service, or in other words, rental. However, to be honest, Living is much more than just that.
In the real estate market, the concept of Living refers to a wide range of approaches and housing formats that aim to offer tailored solutions to people’s daily life needs and preferences. The term “Living” encompasses different types of residential projects that go beyond traditional housing and focus on providing more complete and enriching living experiences.
Elements such as comfort, functionality, sustainability, connectivity, and the promotion of social interaction should contribute to a more holistic lifestyle that enhances the well-being and quality of life of residents.
Living goes beyond simply providing a roof over one’s head. It includes a wide range of formats such as Senior Living, Colivings (shared spaces for young professionals), Co-Housing (collaborative housing), micro-apartments, student residences, and other emerging models. Each of these approaches aims to adapt to the changing preferences and lifestyles of people, whether by offering more flexible housing solutions, specialized services, community spaces, or sustainable environments.
The goal is to provide living spaces that cater to people’s needs and preferences, offering amenities, services, and environments that promote well-being, social interaction, and an enriching living experience. With the sale of our first Build to Rent project in 2022, AYCO embarked on a journey to deepen our understanding of this rapidly developing space. We are currently developing our second Living project in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, where we aim to establish a new benchmark for the sector in Spain.
